April is our Starbucks Month of Good
Every April, Starbucks around the world celebrates the Global Month of Good—a month dedicated to giving back, collective action, and positive social impact. It is a reminder that our values take on real meaning when they are translated into lasting and meaningful action.
In Greece, this commitment is also reflected in our collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages, which has been running since 2024 with the support of The Starbucks Foundation. Through annual funding programmes with a clear, long-term strategic focus, we support the empowerment of children, teenagers, and young adults from vulnerable social backgrounds, with education, employability, and social inclusion at the heart of our efforts.

📌 2024–2025
As part of the programme “Breaking Barriers: Enhancing Employability and Fostering Diversity for Inclusive Growth,”a series of initiatives were implemented to support skills development and preparation for the labour market, including:
English language and certified digital skills courses, career guidance activities, mentoring and job-readiness workshops, social inclusion and employment support initiatives for people with disabilities, as well as awareness-raising activities focused on diversity and challenging stereotypes.
The initiatives were delivered through the Child and Family Support Centres in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Alexandroupoli, supporting more than 300 participants.
📌 2025–2026
The collaboration continues and expands through the programme “Empower & Equip: Advancing Youth Opportunity and Inclusion through Skills and Support,” with an increased focus on sustainability and on supporting the wider family and social environment. The initiatives include, among others: preparation for English language and digital skills certifications, career guidance and soft-skills development workshops, employment inclusion activities for young people with disabilities, as well as ongoing support for parents and caregivers.
The initiatives were delivered through the Child and Family Support Centres in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Alexandroupoli, supporting more than 300 participants.

In parallel with these programmes, the Month of Good once again gives a practical, experiential character to our collaboration this year. Our partners participate in a volunteer activity at the SOS Children’s Village in Vari, actively contributing with the tidying and organization of spaces and storage rooms, painting common areas, and planting in the outdoor space, creating a more functional and welcoming environment for the children.
For us at Starbucks, the Month of Good is not just a month of activities. It is proof that meaningful social contribution is built with consistency, partnerships, and people who truly care.

Because when we invest in our communities, we invest in a more inclusive and optimistic future for everyone.
